Free home design service
GPM Designs offer a free rapid home design service – our average house visit lasts about half an hour. During the visit we will discuss your requirements and explore options, survey the room and then provide either the same day or the day after a written quotation with a high quality 3D drawing and plan of your room. There is no obligation and we never adopt pressure sales tactics in your home.
Creative Workspace Solutions
A growing number of people now work from home. Many find that having a dedicated workspace to work from to be a great advantage. It means that there is a dedicated area where work can be carried out efficiently and kept separate from home life. When you are in your office you are at work. This is where your PC or laptop, printers and monitors are set up, files and folders, stationary and reference material are stored for easy access.
GPM Designs have, for 40 years, designed and built many home offices and bedroom/study rooms. Whether that be a wardrobe with integrated desk area for children to do their homework or more of a guest room with office area to work from, we have made best use of the space available in every situation. As every room is different, the fact that our units are custom built and truly made to measure enables us to offer best use of space for our customers.
When we visit your home we will gather all the relevant information about how you would like to lay out your office – where you would like your printer for example and where you would like your files to be stored and what else you would like to store in the room. We are then able to offer a practical custom design tailor made to suit your individual needs.
The same massive selection of styles, colours and finishes is available for your home office. Our customers usually require their office, study or bedroom/study to have most of the hardware below the work surface, largely out of site with only the monitor, keyboard and mouse on the work surface. Or sometimes they prefer a flip down drawer with pull out shelf for keyboard or laptop. Printers are often housed in a cupboard with a pull out shelf, allowing the printer to be pulled out for easy paper insertion or changing ink.
A cavity is created behind the lower units for cabling, which can be brought up to the work surface at any point through a cable entry.
Upper units can either sit on the work surface or be wall hung with a gap to the work surface, or a combination of both. They could include display sections with glass doors, lighting and glass shelves or solid shelves if preferred.
